KWIC - The Special
Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children
KWIC supplies extra food and nutrition education for:
- Pregnant women
- New mothers - breastfeeding mothers up to one year
- Infants - under 1 year old
- Children - 1 to 5 years old
Eligibility requirements for KWIC are:
- Income - House hold income less than 185% of the poverty level. Income eligibility
varies depending on the number of people in your household.
- Residency - You must live in Kansas and apply for KWIC in the county you live in.
Must be pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum woman, infant, or child up
to five years old.
Some of the
foods provided through KWIC are:
Cereal
Milk Formula Peanut Butter
Beans Juice Eggs Cheese
