KWIC - The Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children

 

KWIC supplies extra food and nutrition education for:

  • Pregnant women
  • New mothers - breastfeeding mothers up to one year
  • Infants - under 1 year old
  • Children - 1 to 5 years old

Eligibility requirements for KWIC are:

  • Income - House hold income less than 185% of the poverty level. Income eligibility varies depending on the number of people in your household.
  • Residency - You must live in Kansas and apply for KWIC in the county you live in.
  • Must be pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum woman, infant, or child up to five years old.

Some of the foods provided through KWIC are:

Cereal     Milk    Formula    Peanut Butter     Beans    Juice  Eggs  Cheese
